The only thing I don't really like on this album is the closer. I wish we got a proper song instead of what kinda feels like filler to me.

I like the opener a lot but agree the last track just kind of fizzles the album out and will probably remain a skipper.

Burgundy pulls it out by the end but yeah idk on repeat listens that intro continues to annoy the hell out of me, she's giving Patrick Stump a run for his money with those pronunciations and it's worse w/ the way she's drawing out every word so fucking much. BOOOOUUUERRRGEUUNDAAAAAAAAY bruh shut uuuuuuuup just say the word. And the ~sultry~ quality as described by the review feels a little put on to me. She has a nice vibrato and not a bad singing voice at all but the cleans are definitely a weaker aspect for me here because of some of these choices she's making, room for improvement on future releases.

Her harshes on the other hand are fucking immaculate and from the clip I saw it sounds like she can reproduce them live very well so kudos on that.

lol I noticed the interesting pronunciation but it hasn’t really bothered me like that. In the context of the full album, I really like Burgundy after the intensity of the first couple songs

I immediately looked up if they were from America lmao and they do seem to be so if she's a non native English speaker that definitely explains it more and that's my bad but from what I've gathered that isn't the case.

I don't get the hate for the word pronunciations and enunciations, she was going for a specific style, and I think it works. It's that old school 1920s movie scene where someone walks into a club an there's a girl dressed similarly to her in the video singing with the same kind of pronunciations and enunciations. I think without that introduction, the song isn't nearly as strong as it is.
