Yeah they're coming to my country as well, but without Aaron...not sure if I'll attend.

Atp because of the ridiculous drama im just wanting to see them when i can. I'd be thrilled to fuck if it was with Aaron. Mikko is a fantastic vocalist and if its the only way i may see the band and songs performed live then ig ill have to accept it
To sumarise: Andrew we messaged Aaron, Aaron no ones called me but i wont be the one to reach out first.
Tldr: Two middle aged men are sulking and throwing tantrums and refusing to call eachother

yeah this whole thing seems utterly ridiculous and disappointing. i like mikko as a vocalist but the live videos with him fronting the band just do not work in the slightest. it feels like he's trying to emulate that peter steele low delivery rather than really artistically embracing the spirit of the band. it's just flat.
i'm obviously not going to side with either party as i think both seem ridiculous considering this is no doubt nothing half an hour over a pint could solve. they need to get a fucking grip and swallow their pride rather than the sun.

He could be afraid of spiders.

Or any of the other 100 animals that can randomly fucking kill you in that country. I don't blame him ;)
But yeah, from interviews the only thing I got is both sides are being petty and neither is willing to reach out to the other. Both pretend to have no idea what the other is doing despite the myriad ways there are to contact people these days. They've known each other for how long? At the very least they have to have some mutual friends that can pass messages back-and-forth Junior High School style.

Legit im more concerned about magpies inn Spring than the nope ropes or the spiders.
Its legit so juvenile and stupid. I think Aarons specifically also waiting for a phone call maybe?
Also i dont know hire a fucking manager these dudes are 30 years in the career surely they know someone or can ask someone "hey can you hook us up" rather than going "yeah we can do it"

Harsh times for former Peaceville bands. I mean, first the Cavanagh brothers, then Anders and Jonas and now Andrew and Aaron. Let's hope all is good within the Paradise Lost circle.

Aarons been very quiet on Insta since that article from Andrew. Heres hoping they have actually talked

So did some more looking to see if anyone has decided to fucking talk to eachother. It seems Aarons entirely alienated himself from the band and the rift isnt just with Andrew but everyone. Lena said in an interview it had been something growing for awhile. Aaron has come to two writing sessions or something either for this record or two in since 34% cant remember which. So everything seems rsther fucked
And im seeing MDB with Mikko next week and hoping its good

My honest assessment of the crappy phone videos is that Mikko is not good in MDB. I mean, I barely like his vocals anyway, but he's worse in MDB than in StS.
Aaron was never the greatest singer (not even close), but he was kind of the sound of MDB I guess. They need to get the Solitude Aeturnus singer or get the guy from Primordial. He did that doom album with Void of Silence that was awesome (Here's a song from the collaboration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0TZXgHgbFs).
@Hawks: It doesn't look like they think they're done...
"We're always writing. Well, I'm always writing. We were in a little mini studio recently in Huddersfield. It's a great place called Vibration, and we put some new stuff together there just for fun. And we we're just sort of toying with ideas of where we wanna go next. I mean, it'll still be us, of course; we're not gonna be breaking out into any strange hip-hop or anything like that.
"We've nothing to lose — we've really nothing to lose at this stage — so we are kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't," Andrew explained about MY DYING BRIDE's new material. "So we're thinking of maybe even going back to, say, bringing back some of the early death metal stuff off the first album. Maybe do another '[The] Barghest [O' Whitby]' where we deliberately write a song so you can't have a B-side because it's 30 minutes long and we don't like B-sides…

I hope they keep making music for sure, and it would be sick to hear them bring back some dm in their sound, but like I said earlier, no Aaron just means no MDB. :[

Rest of the band is rearing to and wants to do more of everything. After my digging it sems like that Aaron is the problem. Aarons a vital piece of the bands sound and history but if Aaron keeps being a pain with touring, showing up to practice/writing then it makes sense to get rid of him. As horrible as that is, Andrew is the one behind the music and core sound.
Im keen to see the band live, unsure about Mikko but this may be the ONLY time i ever see the band live in Australia. Its the bands first time here in their 30 years of a career
