2 Listens through was enough, Overflow and Stained are really abysmal songs.

I like it. It’s a step up (lol) from one more light which is absolute dog shit.
It makes sense to have a comeback album play it relatively safe considering this album could easily have never happened.
The production is pretty good for a modern rock album and I’m pretty sure if they follow this up in a few years they will start experimenting again like they always did.

At the end of the day, Linkin Park isn't so without Chester. It's Deftones without Chino, SOAD without Serj or Glassjaw without Daryl. The music and vibes of those bands are built around those respective voices and without it you have something too different.

More solid than i hoped. Two Faced, IGYEIH, and Good Things Go actually rip. Feels true to linkin park. Did not like Cut The Bridge or Overflow at all. Did not hate Casualty as much as others seem to but its very Hunting Party which I did not really like at all. Overall, not amazing but a solid comeback, and the most ive enjoyed Linkin Park album since Minutes To Midnight.

I miss the days when Linkin Park was only somewhat generic instead of extremely generic.

I just can't imagine anyone deciding to listen to this when you could just spin their first 2-3 and be spared the godawful vocals and limp dick riffs
Mike Shinoda was always a fuckin dork but it kinda worked with the nu metal wave and nostalgia helped carry it but here it's so much more cringe ... plus he's still trying to sell NFTs apparently lmfao

Great review, still getting my feelings on this. Good things go is arguably one of their best songs to date.

Drifter, Sputnik is in no position to judge any user's favorite bands. This community gives 5/5 ratings to some of the weirdest average shit. No one person's opinion holds less weight on here.

There are bits and pieces here that work. Overflow is ruined with Mike's Imagine Dragons melodies but the rest is OK. I think Casualty is solid and Two Face has a solid hook. Over Each Other and Emptiness Machine are the only other two songs that register at all for me. Overall though, it's not Linkin Park and for whatever the reasons were, Mike should have moved on with a different band name and let LP live on through Chester. Album art is pretty cool though.

It’s not Linkin Park? Maybe a couple songs, but the rest is pretty much what I expected

Wait hold on wasn't Jonny's ex abusing him prior to that? Sounds like a really rough mutually toxic situation there @Aerialist on the last page

It's not LP though. Chester made that band what it was. This is just a knockoff version. Like I said, vocalist change aside there are some good ideas that never come together. If it was a different band name I'd be OK with the album being what it is, but as mentioned LP should have lived and died with Chester.
