I haven't thought of Skillet in years. Glad to see they're making extremely normal music for well adjusted people.

I AM AWAKE I AM ALIVE
man this band was lame when I was 12, any adult unironically jamming this shit should never be listened to again regarding literally anything

I need to know if Cooper is also extremely into crypto. Insane religion, Trump and fake money are the trifecta of the modern rube

I mean idk if this dude even likes Trump. He’s not like Kid Rock, yknow, like at the fuckin White House and shit. I would honestly assume he saw that the only viable path forward for this band was going for MAGA folks. This brand of alt metal was already on borrowed time back when they were popular and the few songs I’ve heard from this are so fucking dumbed down even compared to their already dumb music from yesteryear.
Idk, to be honest I don’t really give a shit whether this band is full of true believers or are deeply cynical opportunists but it’s fun to think about it.
Growing up evangelical this was one of the first “metal” bands I got into so there is a bit of nostalgia, but not in fun trip down memory lane way, more in the “wow I can’t believe I used to listen to this shit” way. So I feel like this morbid curiosity with them will stick with me to the grave.

So they released a Christmas song, and its unironically the heaviest thing they've released in over a decade.
