really glad you can't make new accounts to this site anymore so we don't have to deal with dozens of 40 year old ronald pickme's informing us that he ISN'T a fuckbag loser.

Wouldn’t wipe my ass with Ronnie Radke because I respect toilet paper more. I would throw him down a manhole cause the trash is too good for him.

I do enjoy how much this guy riles people up. He's a pretty funny shit-lord and kind of a marketing genius

it's the fact that there's a market to genius in the first place that's so aggravating lol

thanks spec.
as peartnoy has touched on, i really don't get why this record has so much hate, other than it getting trounced because people hate the guy. i'm not a fan of radke and, as i said in my review, for the longest time i couldn't stand listening to a single second of this band. but credit where it's due, this record is extremely dumb, competently written fun. this level of blowback reminds me of limp bizkit back in the day.
but as art has said, dude literally does/says things to get people up in arms, and it works. he's got an effective marketing strategy for sure.

Was very confused to see an album titled after a song from like 5 years ago lol.

"i really don't get why this record has so much hate, other than it getting trounced because people hate the guy"
it's because this record is the guy, and the guy is a bigoted transphobic piece of shit. sucks seeing the record (=him) getting more (positive) exposure, allowing his hateful views to spread even further. it's not rly as much of "an effective marketing strategy" as it is being an actively harmful/abusive edgelord (which is bound to appeal to at least half of the underage american population by default)

You took the words out of my mouth
Even if it's a marketing strategy, he's still an edgelord cunt promoting harmful ideologies to a group of people who feed off that garbage. Not sure if anyone on here is familiar with the "Fandom Menace" on Youtube, but that collective operates in much the same way. They're an anti-SJW group on the site that claims that everything "agenda"-related should be stopped in Hollywood... and yet they constantly use the most egregious elements of outrage culture to rope in the usual suspects of racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry

I wasn't expecting to get so deep into the weeds about this tonight, but I saw an Instagram post by a Youtuber named Rock Feed that condemned Ronnie's "cancellation", and the most infuriating alt-right conspiratorial assholes immediately dominated the entire comment section

Bros been a shit since he got heavy shows banned from six flags for chucking mic stands at people’s faces and then refusing to apologize. And that’s like tame compared to a lot more of his behavior. His music is his vehicle into the public consciousness which allows his tainted views to gain credibility for others to try to mimic solely based on his status as a celebrity.

“sucks seeing the record (=him) getting more (positive) exposure, allowing his hateful views to spread even further.”
So, because I think this is decent, I shouldn’t be allowed to voice my opinion on it, because it will spread hate? I know you’re not directly aiming that at me (or maybe you are), but people should be allowed to form their own views on stuff rather than suppressing the thing because you don’t agree with it. Open debate will reveal the truth for people to judge accordingly. And I absolutely refuse to not cover something I want because it’s a touchy subject for some. I don’t agree with Varg, but Burzum is some of the best BM around, and I will cover the music as I see fit. What happened with Lost Prophets is vile and horrific, but I wouldn’t ever tell someone they can’t enjoy the music or write a review on it, because it’s not my place to do so.

And as I’ve said several times already, I’m not a fan of the guy. I’ve reviled FIR since they first formed, but I thought this was solid so I wrote a review saying as much.
