Debating whether the cover art sucks is like, idk, debating whether Taylor Swift’s new music sucks. The answer is probably yes but also entirely irrelevant to the purpose of the thing. Think of the cover as a PR crutch and its a lot more fun.

Given that there's a bunch of merch and vinyl special editions coming out with that artwork, I do think it is somewhat relevant. Having nice artwork is something I take into consideration whenever I buy physical.
