four tet is a master of clubbable beats that are equally disposed to chillout listening - 'banger' obvs has a very different sense for him than, like, the prodigy or whoever, but it's as huge a part of his craft as his ear for spindly melodies

Pink came out just when my son was born, I played it a lot to him. I didn’t connect the dots until today, but now I see why he became bouncier than an average kid. It is the bangers/clangers within. It seemed to be a harmless collection of harmonies, but it’s not, I was blind. I should have jammed Enya instead.
