yeah I bumped it .5 just cause I feel like people are so hard on this band but for me this album is a great example of less is more songwriting. solid progressions, great hooks, and enough weird ideas to keep it fresh but not deviate like their later albums have.

Options was the album's surprise for me, never saw them making a song like that but I love it. it's such a simple idea to bring the main melody back in at the end but it feels so earned.

I think I can appreciate it a bit more if I pretend it’s 2005 and I’m playing SSX on the ps2

These guys, Movements, and Turnover were my three favorite modern emo bands and they all turned to dookie butter. Life is often disappointing.

I think we’re all feeling that pain. Trophy Eyes had some moderate redemption, but this feels like a dead scene.

In 2017 everyone couldn’t believe these guys had a split with Turnover and now somehow they’re even more effete and boring than Turnover

Never got the hype for these guys even when they were considered "good"

Their singer is an insanely capable vocalist, but their musical direction of late leaves me scratching my head yeah

New song is great. Definitely hearing some As You Please vibes

Glad they pivoted from this sound. Tentatively excited for the new record.

I do like this new one quite a bit. Like a combination of AYP and LIYGW

Sounds a lot less like Mat Kerekes' solo work and more like a progression for Citizen the band.

Also had no idea that Ben Russin (of Title Fight) was on board for drums.
