"Also bro idk how you could love Dusk and Cruelty but not love Midian. :["

To be fair it's been a while since I tried that album so I might retry it again at some point. At the moment I just started Hammer

Totally different, production wise though, but they're all very good listens.

Dusk / Cruelty, Midian and then Hammer / Crypto / this are quite different eras, aye

I do wonder if I’ve circled back around to loving Midian again. Hammer is defo my fave

Ok so To Live Deliciously is a very addictive banger, it's been stuck in my head for a while now.

Time for the new album Y/Y!

several of the songs are goated, and then there are some that I just don't vibe with as much. Didn't say I don't like it, just not as much as many other cradle albums. I'd actually rather listen to Nymphetamine.

I love Nymph to death but Midian is a far less bloated album. Which tracks did you not like

Listened to it twice yesterday after posting, and another run just now. I would have said I'm not a huge fan of the run from Death Magick for Adepts through Amor previously, and that besides HGIF there isn't a ton of truly memorable stuff in general past Saffron's. I actively dislike the keys and singing parts in the front half of Tearing the Veil - but it's fully redeemed in the second half which might be the best thing on the record.

IDK, I think it may be the production and the mood that bother me most. The keys are a bit hokey on the whole thing, the guitars sound pretty butt...feels wrong to nitpick because it does generally slay, just doesn't resonate with me the way that five or six of their other albums do.

it's a pretty theatrical album even by CoF standards. If that's not his speed I get it

It is indeed very theatrical. But the test is: what about Damnation GuyMan? That one is also mega theatrical.
