I do remember thinking I wanted a little more variety in the vox for Burner. Musically it's pretty frantic, but he seemed to prefer the growlies, and I didn't think it was always quite fitting to the music
I just started a blackened >insert genre here< journey pre recently, actually. I would say, from what I listened to and my limited exp w/ blackened stuff, the album in general has a blackened hardcore vibe and maybe some death metal in those really nutter butters parts, but with how wild it was from track to track there is most likely more than just those going on

There other stuff is also a lot of fun. They have a different vocalist for the EPs, and while I preferred the original, the new one is still really good and fits the style, too

Not from this year, but you and Ash also might dig Whorls - Petrichor, if not familiar. Not quite as ridiculous and genre mashing as Burner (maybe more on the black metal side but def has some hardcore in there, too) but still similar vibe, I think
