this band should be so much popular. Really accessible sound, my gf likes more MCR style emo but I sent her black marigold and she ended up listening to the whole thing.

Not sure of the exact circumstances, but damn is it sad this album came out on No Sleep right as they started to go under. Feel like that had to play some role in the band's split. Really thought they would get some exposure with how fantastic this album is. Easily the best 2000s-esque post hardcore to come out in quite a while.

i think their next one was going to change the game. twelve omaha is one of the best closing tracks of the past 20 years

I often forget how insanely good this album is, time to bump it.. still the best emo post hardcore release I've heard in a while.
trying to get my gf into heavier stuff, going to try and sneak last days numbered or boxcutter in our playlist see how it plays out

Hey little updates - Rich (vocalist) hurt his voice ahead of the tour that this album was going to be off of, which I'd go to believe is why that initial NYC show got cancelled. He's also an interior designer and has a little one at home so definitely other life stuff going on. Additionally, Adam (drummer) has become a pretty go-to producer with his studio Timber Studios for a lot of cool rising bands such as En Masse, Love Is Noise, Soul Blind and ASkySoBlack, as well as larger touring acts like Casey and The Dirty Nil. Needless to say, from the two members I've somewhat kept up with a little, it seems like life stuff is just happening at the moment. I wouldn't totally rule out a return - but would be interested in both their new label (seeing that No Sleep is done) and if they'd tour this album at some point.
