Yeah I'm kinda enjoying this. The average scared me away for a while but I liked Cold Like War and I like this too.

They've always been one of the most mediocre bands in the scene. I actually don't understand how they managed to get so popular

First two albums are sick and fun synthy metalcore, To Plant A Seed got me into metalcore as a whole in 09 so I'll always love it. Just have no reason to even check this bands new music at all anymore lol

I'm actually really liking Bad Luck. No Rest for the Dreamer is decent. Culture Wound is super forgettable though.

To Plant a Seed is a classic

I imagine Kyle's hooks played a big part in how they got big.

Why do all metalcore vocalists keep living a lie?
Agreeing with AmericnZero02 about the 3 singles.

last single really could do with a bit nicer chorus melody. But honestly not a bad song.

The heart and soul of this band is just kind of gone. Every new song I've heard is devoid of any sort of energy or creativity whatsoever. Not that this band was ever the pinnacle of metalcore by any means, but at least they knew how to write a good hook. Probably will just ignore the new album unfortunately.

The new track "Bad Luck" has a really good hook. So does "Golden" from Darkbloom. I'm not totally disagreeing with your points, I'm just saying they are still capable of writing some solid tunes IMO. They've just had to pivot to a new style and sound sans-Kyle. A sound that definitely doesn't cater to the To Plant A Seed purists.
