Well, I must say I am a big fan of Alex Skolnick but even though his background is indeed jazz, to also bring Kenny G into the mix without trying not to offend death metal fans is very ballsy. To me it kind of just ruins the whole mood to hear all the sax in the background. Yes, you could say this is ground breaking in a way... we can call this Kenny G Death Metal...
But seriously, all this fusion of pop, jazz, and metal is getting kind of old. What's next? Barry Manilou Death Metal? Or Michael Bolton Death Metal? Just because you can and it hasn't been done, doesn't mean you should.
