Yeah the structures are safe, yes it's nothing new. But I feel like it's more of a criticism for the genre itself than an actual issue specific to this. Personally I feel like this is a masterclass in how to write poppy metalcore. The hooks on this all hit to some degree, with riffs and melodies that are memorable and never feel stock or uninspired.

Coming off two egregiously bad records, this very safe style of metalcore is a breath of fresh air for them.

This band has been writing the same song for 12 years.

Also, the lack of Sleepwalking praise among this band's discourse is always such a downer: their actual best.

Sleepwalking and The Hollow had such a southern metal twang to the riffs that they just up and abandoned for some reason

I think that everyone are all musicians and critics to say that shit against an album that's not a ''Bring me the horizon'' album

I would love them to embrace the Justin Timberlake vibes Chaotic has in the chorus a lot more

Matty really is more comfortable with the new tracks it seems. They sounded great performing them live, Vices and The Sinner sounded a bit off. Positively surprised by how well they sounded, nice that Kellin was doing backing vocals and they did not have any backing vocal tracks playing. Seems like this band is really revitalized by these two records, love to see it.
