Frusciante shreds on The Great Apes. Only reason I listened to this was because Frusciante is back, their last two albums were so mediocre without him. I feel like this one might be a grower, it's super low key and unambitious but there's some great instrumentation from John and Flea here, and it's easily the best material they've come up with since Stadium. Not a great album but a very chill, enjoyable, low key one that definitely pleased me as a longtime Frusciante fan.

Just a really solid collection of new Peppers songs. It only lacks a big hit.

I question why they really needed to push all this average content. 17 songs borderlining 2.5-3.5. . . Better than the other one, yeah, but. . .

some songs are 4.5/5, others are 2/2.5. they Should have released the best of this with ROTDC best instead of 2 albums

Ironic how they went through all this heartbreak to bring John back only to become worse, lmfao
