>Converge have always had lots of appreciation for their oldies.
ironic how halo is shat upon while albums that are just as good (/just as bad, if you prefer) like those who fear tomorrow and destroy the machines are considered genre classics

Oh. That seems doubtful. Maybe I should check again, perhaps I’m just overrating Inntegrity or something.
It would be good to get a new prod job for Halo to see how it stacks up.

>perhaps I’m just overrating Inntegrity or something.
its ok most people are
but halo aint bad
|
| |
Nah halo is worse than twft. But Halo is on par/ not far from with Petitioning the Empty Sky.

no shot. It doesn’t deserve that avg but it’s still the worst converge imo
|
| |
i don’t think ive ever listened to halo in a haystack. gonna have to remedy that i suppose.
|
| |
not worth the time tbh
|
| |
just cuz a record is the worst in its respective discog doesn’t make it bad
I practice free throws with Halo though
|
| |
i mean is it to the rest of their discog what pain of mind is to neurosis’ discog?
|
| |
pretty much, it’s solid but also amateur hour to what they all became
thus replay value suffers for it and so does my rating for em

Pain > Halo, easy
in the context of each discog thereafter being absolutely bloody legendary - so its a fair (if rather pointless) fight, lol
|
| |
no need to go there agreed

Halo is good, definitely doesn’t deserve the shit it gets, but it’s also like definitely their least impressive album

This is actually my favorite Converge material and the remaster only improves it.

Minnesota is one of their best 'least-known' songs. Honestly reminds me of some of the stuff you'd hear on the later released Choirs of The Eye from Kayo Dot.

Yeah Minnesota is great, really atmospheric
