Wow this is pretty sick

I might like this more than Hammer so far

Which is not something I thought I'd ever say about a CoF album

I like this, but I really don't know [quite] how much.

It was love at first sight for me.

"Drumming extremely solid again it has to be said"

Indeed. The lads all know their business very well.

Just now getting around to this and damn this is really awesome. The solo on Necromantic Fantasies is perfection! Also really loving the leads on Discourse. About halfway through now and this is shaping up to be one of my favorites from them for sure. Hard to believe they're dropping some of their best stuff this far into their career. Especially looking back and thinking they were dropping in quality quite a bit when I was first discovering them.

Hey, The Dying of the Embers incorporates much of the vibe and the riffs of Sons of Belial off The Faceless' "Planetary Duality". Hawks must be pleased.

That song is such a jam. The hardcore-ish bridge and chorus are awesome. The solo is also great.

“a song that revolves around overpopulation and its deleterious effect on the planet”

Great to see them going down the eco-fash route. Just what we needed, another group of idiots putting forward debunked Malthusian bollocks.

“A narrative attached to the album's main concept which deals with existentialism and the possibility that there is no purpose to life”

Aye, why put forward any structural analysis when you can deal in the most juvenile type of nihilism. The guy is nearly 50, just laughable at this point.

"I am getting some old school vibes in parts of this - I'm talking Dusk shit". Hell yes. There's def some Dusk and Damnation in this. But also plenty of new sounds. Us Dark Invincible has a chorus groove I haven't heard from CoF. It's more devilment
