"State" really sucks, huh? Whatever its hookless, non-melodic approach had going for it is smothered by the toothless production. The rest is solid, but this is likely my least favorite of hers.
Artwork's great, though.

This is really comforting and satisfying, but it isn't quite having the impact I'd hoped when weighed against her last album.
Recommending the Fruit Bats' latest record was a great move: both are fleet footed, harmonious, and nourishing. But neither really reach for the stars, so to speak.
