It's a temporary homage to Deris' former band.

Bumping this to a 4 because it's phenomenal. Fear Of the Fallen is textbook Andi Deris, love it! It's amazing how all 3 singers are able to co-exist and make such an awesome product together. I'm going to go ahead and say that Skyfall is a top 5 Helloween song for me as well.
These krauts hit a grand slam, best since Keepers II hands down.

I might do the same thing, like it better every listen. Agree about Fear of the Fallen, Deris' writing style is a little familiar at this point, but I really can't complain when it still works so well.
Don't know about best since Keepers II, maybe Time of the Oath.
Only thing I don't really like about this is the production, but I'm not a fan of Bauerfeind's production in general (Blind Guardian's newer albums also come to mind).

The run from Robot King - Cyanide - Down In The Dumps could've been a little more interesting in my opinion. The song lengths for two of these certainly doesn't help matters either.

I love Cyanide, especially the bridge and chorus. Robot King on the other hand is my least favorite. B-Side stuff.

Here's my current ranking, or at least close to it as the album as a whole is still sinking in:
Orbit / Skyfall
Out For The Glory
Fear Of The Fallen
Best Time
Mass Pollution
Angels
Rise Without Chains
Indestructible
Cyanide
Robot King
Down In The Dumps
the run from the opener through Indestructible are literally in order for me haha

Michael revealed that there was at least one song left over from the recording sessions, a ballad called "Into The Sun", which he believes could have made the album even better.
"I still think we could have used the ballad," he said. "The way they produced it, during the production they changed it so much that in the end he [Andi Deris] didn't like it anymore. They changed the key to a lower key, they used a different kind of instrumentation with a piano and stuff like that. I liked it, but the producers and himself, they were just not so happy with it, so they want to come back next time to the original version and do it the way it was in the beginning. That's the only thing I think the album could use — not killing any songs, just put that extra ballad on there”.
Going on to praise Deris's songwriting ability, he concluded; "'Into The Sun', I think that's the name of it. Great, great song. Really, maybe the best sucker that he has written. He's a great songwriter”.

Deris at his best.
Have you heard the two bonus songs? They're both cool.

Yes, I typically listen on Spotify and they're on there. I will pay closer attention to them, as quite a few on here have praised Golden Times....

This just came in on vinyl. Nice quality definitely sounds much more powerful than listening digitally. Plus I got the ultra cool neon blue / red corona swirl which is gorgeous

Golden Times is the best thing on here. I can only think they bumped it to encourage people to buy the bonus tracks edition.
