3.5 is still too low tbh. Solid 3.8 would be perfect.

"can't get over the fact that one of the tatu girls is homophobic"
I'd say it makes sense since she was forced to pretend to be a lesbian from age 16 as a publicity stunt...but the 'only against men' part sinks that theory. Yulia has just kinda turned out blegh and Lena has been pretty cool.
|
| |
or maybe she's just homophobic but has to justify her (forced) past lol

I mean, yeah, I guess
I was 12 when that song dropped, at a time when listening to Britney, Christina, and Jessica was decidedly uncool for boys. but nobody else my age knew t.A.T.u. beyond "All the Things", and spinning 200 km/hr and D&M on my discman became kind of a happy space for teenage pre-out Alex. I enjoyed seeing Yulia and (especially) Lena outgrow the gimmick, ditch the people who exploited them, and continue t.A.T.u. on their own label. getting a signed CD of "White Robe" in 2009 had me in tears.
so t.A.T.u. is unironically a band that I found a lot of comfort in during my formative years, but obviously in retrospect it was also largely a gimmick designed to appeal to pervs
so I mean, yeah, I guess

yeah the real ones definitely lasted. I just looked up the top female artists of 2003-4, and Simpson was nowhere to be seen. apparently Norah Jones dominated the charts in 2003-4 but I don't think I ever heard someone talk about her. I guess it was a wild time, and being on MTV meant as much as record sales for Q score.

I just never had the opportunity to listen to her, at her peak she wasn't never on chilean radio or tv, and the internet hadn't reached us yet smh
