Dipping back into this tonight, what a masterpiece. Via sub mids is so splendidly beautiful and heartbreaking. Imo the music here is actually quite weird compared to the stuff that has come after it. Seems he was really chewing on something while making compro, whereas a lot of his more recent material doesn’t hit that same feel for me despite also being totally brilliant and gorgeous
