Actually yeah I can. For someone familiar with Lil Ugly Mane who hears Volcanic for the first time and realizes "hey this nice", they might be interested in something else in the mellow indie right-in-the-feels department and this album practically masters that. Someone who listens to Eels and hears this for the first time and enjoys it may not appreciate the numerous shifts in style if they were recommended Volcanic directly after

I dunno I've loved this album for many years and when VBE came out, I was like oh wow this is similar to Electro-Shock Blues, I love this
"I have heard a few tracks from that and I don’t see why they’re related"
Well this is definitely more indie pop, but atmosphere and feel wise, both cater to a depressed hazy, chill atmosphere
