I think 99% of boxsets for anything are bullshit, yet this is one I would consider. Not sure what the price is though, that would play the biggest factor.

btw some of these demos have better bass lines than any official released LP stuff, which is not saying much but it's worth pointing out

This is one of those rare albums where every single song is a legit 5/5.
And chester was legitimately as talented of a vocalist you'll ever hear. He killed it live too.

Anyone else get the really dodgy version of One Step Closer with the Simpsons clips in it back in the Limewire days?

Meteora was my first LP record, so it holds that same place that HT does for most people. That said, man do I love HT. Classic record.

I remember there was some European band Tribal Ink that passed their album off as one of the LP albums on some filesharing site and everyone was like "Wow they sound really off here".

saw the rating for this and laughed my ass off. Listened to some of the new tracks and remixes and actually couldnt believe how good some of it was.

Any anniversary release is going to be aimed at pre-existing fans anyway, but since this is a very important album to me the 5 was inevitable. That said, the truckload of extra tracks, demos, etc make it an incredibly worthwhile rerelease that stands strong on its own merits.

Also, agreed. Meteora is as important as this.

this is a gorgeous review.

Figure.09 is probably one of my favorite LP songs, on Meteora but it's hard from me to separate the two. But that songs should have just been called Part of Me, makes more sense lol

No Qwerty

I think Qwerty was a song that was written around the Meteora area
|
| |
can't believe it's been 20 years...
|

Yeah it was sometime between Meteora and Minutes to Midnight. But still, a part of me was hoping to see it lying about the cove of vault tracks. Maybe we'll get it on the re-release of Meteora.

Agreed QWERTY is a longgggg lost track and needs to be released officially somewhere
