I'm sure there are some good eggs around. I used to like CKN, he was a likeable chap, but he quit out some time ago now and has stopped reviewing.

Watch and learn, In Flames. This is how it's done.

I was tempted to make that comparison, but that fruit was waaaay too low.

Good review my man. I know I like to give you a ribbing over this band, but I really enjoyed reading why they're so affecting for you. Mindpos < 3

This does pack more of a punch than the original. I didn’t ever have an issue with the production, yet this does seem like a worthwhile endeavour and noticeable improvement.

I do love the original, but this definitely augments it. It feels so good to hear it fully fleshed out.

The original feels like it’s by a fledgling band, I guess it was. Potential that needed a little refinement. This definitely helps complete that puzzle.

Yeah, they talked a lot about how they were trying to condense their influences into their work. Now that they are more comfortable in their own sound, it feels a lot different than before, since they hadn't really hit their stride yet.

I fail to see how this is a good rerecording if they actively removed bass parts. I couldn't finish listening to this because their absence pissed me off too much. Real baffling decision.

Using the power of the scroll bar on the side of my screen, very helpful feature that one is, it appears Jac is in the thread.

One scroll bar to rule them all, One scroll bar to find them, One scroll bar to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

I was using headphones, mate. To verify, I just checked for the bass lick in Whisper of Men's bridge and it's absent in this "remaster". I think I can barely hear the bass doing... some other part instead, so that's at least something, but it is really, really quiet. The only other bass part intact I could catch was in the beginning area of Atemporal Divinity, but when I didn't hear another part later in the song I tapped out. This was one of my early metal albums that I grew up with as my music taste came online, so you can't pull a fast one on these ears.
