I can't believe this album is 43 minutes. It felt like 2 hours.

Some of this is incredibly moving, like I’m literally on the verge of tears. Then other parts I just don’t really connect with. Is it just me or is the tone inconsistent? Maybe I need to read up on the concept or something. Very confused as to how I even begin to evaluate this as an entire piece.

I kind of wish this had more moments of clear darkness. Very dramatic music, though.

Yeah this is nice overall and has its moments but kinda falls flat imo. Not enough memorable tracks

pretty dece yeah. like Demon said, some inconsistent parts (the entirety of the first song for instance). couldn't help but feel like I was listening to the Interstellar OST the whole time. that's not a bad thing tho

That's why I'm confused, I love 'some of it' - particularly Persefone and the 2nd track. I just haven't really grasped the flow, or overall vibe of the album yet. It goes from being bleak and melancholic to weirdly optimistic sounding.

This is probably the only release week it will happen. I was on 'new release hiatus' for a while, but seeing a few big ones dropping rekindled my interest.

sacro bosco is the only thing mildly interesting about this, and that's only because it reminds me of the Silent Hill soundtrack a little.

Yeah this is definitely a success, still struggling slightly with certain sections (mostly the t/t) but when that melancholic organ really getting going, oh my. Reminds me a little of Tim Hecker in places.

Haha I was just about to comment the same thing. It's uncanny how much it sounds like Silent Hill. But yeah fuck me this album is dull otherwise
