Am I the only one who thought this was a serious letdown? Jurassic | Cretaceous and Holocene aside, this sounds like meandering prog at best and really bad Tool at worst.

The cleans sound terrible and take so much away from the instruments.

Triassic might be my SOTY right now. It has pretty much everything I ever wanted in vocal-led post metal. I can't imagine what hearing the song live would be like.

excellent first two tracks but i think it's kinda a snoozefest after that
album blows its load really early on when you consider how well phanerozoic i was structured

Only song here I didn't really like was Eocene, the weakest track imo.
Overall very pleased with this other than the instrumental tracks sound better to my ears. Something about the mix feels off with the vocal tracks, could just be I want the vocals buried a bit more.
