I've given it a couple spins these last few days. It's not helping me get this Pyrrhon review done though.

I'm not going to lie, it's niche (the whole discog basically) but I guess it appeals to me? To each their own definitely plays a part here.

let's goooooo 3D
it is very niche but apart from the length, I'd say this might be PdH's most accessible record musically

--ahaha I'm just picturing Nocte making a rev from another album while listening to this...stuff--
I'm not sure If I'm, "special" but I'll generally have 4-5 albums on the go as far as review schedules go. One review goes up, another new album takes its place. For example - at the moment: Paysage, Pyrrhon, John Legend, Wren, Vile Creature, Fellwarden are all on my review list (not all will get published etc etc) the future list already includes Kairon; IRSE!, Steve Von Til, Oceans Of Slumber.

This has a pretty clear split down the middle with the end of Flug being almost exactly the hour mark. And I honestly think the second half is even better than the first.
Possibly could have intended it to have been a double-release (like parts 1 & 2) and at some point he just said screw it and made it one gigantic continuous slab of atmo bm perfection.

Welter really reminds me of Ich Starre from Winterkalte. I always felt like that song should have been put second-to-last in anticpation of Finsternis so that makes me very happy.

Seven I don't think our feelings about this album could be any closer. 100% agreed. It has that really dark, super heavy (for atmo bm) feel to it. Delectably foreboding.
