I guess yesterday was the official release date. The band has made their soundcloud link public with the AI mastered version of the album.

I still don't get why won't they send it to one of the guys who was offering free mix for them. Even the troll guy from that fb page offered his services for free

I doubt they want to work with the dude that made them oust themselves, probably not too fond of the guy

Because they don't have the stems. The guy they lost contact with has them. That's pretty much what this entire saga has been about.

I've needed this drama since quarantine started. Thank you Corelia.

In the middle of the album now.
They were definitely talented, and had an all around grasp on solid musicianship and writing. But god damn, they worked a hell of a lot better during the EP since it's in smaller doses.
90+ minute album, with some songs clocking in in excess of 6-minutes, can be a chore to sit through no matter how much effort is being put into it.
I do like some of the more atmospheric moments, though. For me that's probably the album's biggest highlights.
Shame about the mixing. While not overly terrible, it definitely doesn't do the band any favors, particularly the vocals, at times.
Overall, these dudes may have thought just a little too highly of their talents and ambitions. Even if this had been saw through on time and on budget, it pales to the EP.

whaaaat this real?
Man the EP ripped so much.
In the age of digital-everything btw I hardly believe one guy locked the STEMs for anybody else lol. You ship these things digitally

It's not that hard to believe. Why would you download all the stems if you're not actually mixing the album?

I am quite skeptical too

Well, me, I have a massive OCD, and would HARDLY, HARDLY leave shit so important in one specific hardware, on one specific sketchy dude's pc.
Also it's basic common sense, which seems the band lacks regardless

That "sketchy dude" is the guitarist in the band and likely the band's main composer and producer. If you knew he was "sketchy" you probably wouldn't start a band with him let alone embark on a massive crowdfunded double album project with him. But hey, not everyone is gifted with the powers of OCD and psychoanalytical foresight.

But if I gotta ship everything to him, a STEM track is not that light. anyway, alas, what's done is done. they still got those 30k in the bank I guess and a poor career track
"But hey, not everyone is gifted with the powers of OCD and psychoanalytical foresight."
This made me laugh, then I remembered the After the Burial guitar player who killed himself and got me mega sad

This has grown on me since my first few listens. Obviously, this needed quite a bit of fat trimming, but there is definitely some very strong material present. I love the first three tracks especially; Self-Destruct overstays its welcome a bit but the hook is fantastic (though the situational irony of the lyrics kinda makes me chuckle tbh).
Sucks how poorly this release was handled, but there's a lot of potential here so I hope some of the members figure it out and are able to create music in the future.

I feel like the dudes in this band have been NEETs for the past few years.

huh I didn't really listen since the leak...what...10 months ago? Really neat to see them finally embrace the fans and officially put it up on their bandcamp. Or maybe it's accepting defeat, I don't know. Same result if the stems are gone.
Also, fuck the guy who booked it with the master files.
