A white album cover would be sick

Simply one of the best to do it. As a guitarist, I can’t help but gush over Ellis’s lead work on this thing. Playing in a standard tuning creates for some really interesting and refreshingly unique chord shapes. Agree about the second half, but this and Nightbringers are still well above the competition

Last two (proper) tracks are great, but I'm not getting much from most of the others. Disappointing as I really enjoyed Nightbringers!

I never paid much attention to these guys, I'm gonna take a peek at this this week.

Make sure you give the back catalogue a bit of a spin too.

For some reason, and it's really strange, I've never listened to this band. I used to think that they were in that sort of ''Deathcore/metalcore'' crowd like with the Br00tal scene bands or whatever. So I avoided them. I have no idea why I thought this though. But looking at the similar bands Carcass? I might check this band out afterall.
Are they really Melodic Death Metal though. I need some reassurance because I cannot stand Deathcore.

" I used to think that they were in that sort of ''Deathcore/metalcore'' crowd like with the Br00tal scene bands or whatever."
there were some influences of that on their debut only
"Are they really Melodic Death Metal though"

the only thing "metalcore" about this band is their godawful neon merch that probably pays their bills. I feel bad for this band honestly, musically they've never compromised or tried to fit into a scene or whatever. It's just a bunch of metalheads playing their take on melodic death metal.

There is nothing core about the debut tho. It's pure unadulterated ATG worship.

I think that's kind of clever though if they can make whatever they want but sell that kind of merch so they never have to compromise musically. But the problem would be attracting those people who buy that stuff to the shows.

Miasma artwork is such a bad match for the music lol

its been a long time but i recall it having some moderncore breakdowns
also atg worship in itself is kind of moderncore if we're being real here

but they are atg worship that actually listened to atg, vs hearing other bands in the new scene doing it and ripping that off.

Just jam The Blackest Incarnation and Apex from the debut, still absolute bangers. The whole thing is fantastic from start to finish
