really liked their last album, but this one sounded underwhelming on first listen

They're probably the only classic thrash band that can put out an album worth a damn at this point. [2]

They are so far beyond their peers at this point.

Fuck me. This is great!
Got to love an opener that harps on about the hale bopp suicide cult with riffs and solos.

I feel like Exodus has at least another great record left in the tank, but Gary joining Slayer seems to have stymied new material almost entirely

This album has a strong start and strong end but the whole middle is muddled and hardly “thrash” with how mid-paced it is. Other than the awful pacing it’s a solid album from a genre that’s been stagnant as of late.

I was thinking Exodus is another one, but their last album was super weak

we went to see them two years ago in the Slayer tour but took a wrong turn to the hotel and missed their set. So bummed.

The only time I saw them live was with Priest. 'More Than Meets The Eye' was just glorious.

They opened with 'More than Meets The Eye' in Melbourne, 2010. Glad i got the see them once. They were absolute Juggernaut's.

As much as I like this, part of me feels its missing a truly standout song.

I'm not that big into Thrash, but Testament rule. I'll have to give it a couple more listens later, but my first impression of this album was positive.
