Honestly first time hearing this LP, but I loved it. Sounds great. My friend has a poster of the album cover and I've always meant to listen to this.

'One of you cunts needs to write a review for this beast.'

This is genuinely such a powerful sentence. Firm, yet gentle. Expressing such love, and such passion. Warm to the eye, but bitingly poignant.

Whoever you were quoting is an actual literary genius.

Guitars sound GREAT on here. No more mud. I was very pleased when I listened to this. It sounds heavier than the original which enhances the vibes and intent the original had.

I like how that one guy is like ''the guitar sound better in the original'' are you serious? the original was so muddy some of the riffs were just lost in the mud.

Maybe you didn't see any of the news that was posted on here, or by the band?

Fair point

I never understood the fuss about the sound quality of the original. It might be because it was the first CoF album I listened to, but I honestly can't see what's wrong with the sound. I even prefer the sound of Cruelty and the Beast to that of Dusk and Her Embrace, tbh. It's more unique, I guess.

Anyway, I need to hear this as soon as possible. This and Vempire are the peak CoF albums imo.

Ok those drums do sound very good this way. Still need to jam with a good headphone but this sounds nice!

As a newcomer with fairly limited (but recent) experience of the original, this sounds like a totally different album. Impressive.

I listened to both through my MX50s and definitely cannot say they sound totally different. To be honest, i find the newcomer to be improved in the keys, not in the drums.

I liked the song-writing on the original, but man did it hurt my ears at times. I just cranked this right up and no such issues. I can finally jam this at high volumes. Problem solved.

Why say that? Just listened to Saint Anger and the drum sound is awsome.

Nah I just remember this being one of those ear piercers (the original, I mean). Not constantly of course, just a few moments where it was uncomfortable if I turned it up loud. I can hear everything clearly now and at sensible levels.
