Black Seeds has my favorite drumming. Derek Roddy's performance is stunning.

Might be my fave (tech) DM record
This has a lot more ambience than the other releases which makes it feel less one-dimensional.

Isn't it even credited? I guess I remember Karl once talking about how it was inspired and all...
That Samba kind of break in Opening of the Mouth is one of the best moments in death Metal. Overall this is the most evil sounding Nile album easily and the middle eastern folksy elements are best integrated into the songs on this one. Later albums are faster, more technical and progressive, but lack the atmosphere of this one.

best Nile IMO,especially because middle eastern sounds aren't interludes, intros or outros here mostly, but kind of intertwined into the songs... less tech but more menacing atmosphere than their later works, slightly beats out ITDS and AOTW.
