Don't even like Periphery (since the debut) and this is pretty great.

Yeah, all their other albums dragged to some extent but this flows so well that it really doesn't feel like it's an hour long.

I think my thing with Only Smiles is that it doesn't really fit within THIS album, the rest of the album is extremely dark, heavy, monstrous in some regards, and then a track like Only Smiles kinda takes you out of that vibe

Good review though man, very cool!

I think the album ends on a slight trip also, I think if Sentient Glow took the spot of Only Smiles and perhaps having Crush as the second to last track it would have made the ending a bit more satisfying, just some random thoughts

Also I'm still kinda on the fence with Follow Your Ghost like a lot of you are, I think the track will grow on me over time but for now yeah it's at the lower tier if I where to rank the songs

Reptile might be objectively their best song to date, it has incredibly heavy passages as well as beautiful passages as well, the part that starts at 9:00 I can only compare it something like Reclaimer by Shadow of Intent, or Odyssey Slice the Cake, just objectively incredible sound let alone counting the musical value of it

I knew this HAD to be great when I was Trebor's rating, hahaha

He got the numbers backwards, but he actually wanted to 5 this. I'm sure.

https://gyazo.com/77953338c5180d6fa43274d87e256037 yeah this tracklisting was extremely satisfying for me, I recommend everyone here to at least give this format a try, Only Smiles just does not fit, I think they should have saved it for a Clear EP 2 or something, or maybe a bonus track to P4, but guys this tracklisting enhanced the experience for me a lot, I recommend it hugely

I love how the staff ratings are super polarizing from each other, lol. It's either a 5 or a 0.5.
