I have a hard time believing I'm going to hear anything that tops Rhyacian, Statherian, or Tonian, but we'll see.

Weird to release an instrumental version of the album. Almost gives the impression that the vocals aren't core to the songwriting. But I'm glad because the instrumental version sounds great from what I've heard so far.

Was hoping I'd come out of this album with a 4.5 rating but it isn't quite there. Still really enjoyed it

This is a continuation of Precambrian and part 2 of Phanerozoic will be representing the current era the earth is in today (iirc).

Phanerozoic eon has 3 eras: Paleozoic (this album 541-252 mya) Mesozoic (dinosaurs 252-66 mya) and Cenozoic (66 mya to present - rise of the mammals). Maybe they'll combine those 2 eras on part II.
