Start This Shit Off Right hasn’t been mentioned yet and that’s one of my favs too. Open Letter is prob my fav though.

I only listened through the first 6 or 7 tracks, but I have the same main issue with this that I’ve had with anything I’ve heard from him. The dudes delivery fucking kills me in all the worst ways.

i don't really see any mid 2000s rap singles on here though. I hope this grows even more on the fourth listen and I can bump my rating again.

The album sounds "dated" because it's been finished since like 2014, maybe even longer. Like you can clearly tell Kendrick's Mona Lisa verse was recorded during the GKMC-TPAB era for instance just by his voice.

The only time that dated sound works is with Uproar. Shoutout to Special Delivery.

I don't think it needs to be pointed out anymore that this record was made years ago, we get it. That doesn't add to the current conversation about the music. I want to know what the top singles could be now in 2018.

Took like 4 or 5 tracks to make me realize that this is actually another solid release from Wayne. Damn it's been so long since he came out with something this consistent and focused. Almost felt like '08 again when Tha Carter III dropped.

the explicit storytelling in Mona Lisa is what makes it stand out. And the best part is its not even Kendrick that makes the track stand out, Lil Wayne mastered the art of story telling on that track.

Pretty crazy, always appreciated Lil Wayne, but never truly enjoyed his projects, other than bits and pieces of Carter 2&3 and Da Drought 3. This album is a really good listen however.
