This will always be their best. Kind of a continuous piece with great atmosphere throughout. The somewhat dark and progressive nature of this, compared to their others, is what makes it stand out.

Fantastic. More diverse than Frengers, but probably a little worse off for it.

There's just something about Mew. When their albums finish, the silence does not seem right.

This thread confirms my theory:

Everyone played Pokemon. Even the "cool" kids at my middle school who made fun of all the other kids for playing it.

This is on par with Frengers and No More Stories.

This is probably my favorite pop/rock album that I have come across all year. And being in a metal mood 99% of the time, this album hit me really hard.

whoa Jingledeath...there was nothing disappointing about this album. It's their best album imo...Frengers is a better casual listen but if you want a truly engaging album front to back this is definitely the best for that in Mew's catalog.

Best review on sputnikmusic, I fucking hate pop. I only listen to metal, but this album is fucking amazing. Made me realize that not all pop music is crap, but can be as good as anything.

I think out of their last three, this is their weakest, but it is still pretty good.. "Apocalypso" is one of my favourite songs by them; "Chinaberry Tree", "Special" and "The Zookeeper's Boy" are pretty good too

I havent listened to this for along time though so I might listen to it again soon

Great review. I love the journey of this album. The way it takes you down from the beginning and yet keeps giving is wonderful.
