You know me already, I always explain my point of views. My wife says that's impossible to win me because I always have arguments for everything. You know, I'm a very talented person, too. I think you have to give me another pos'd, ah,ah,ah...

Now seriously. I can see your points but I mantain my opinion. The guy is a very talented and diversified composer. You can see it by "Relayer", "Refugee" and by his solo work. And when I said more versatil than Wakeman I mean precisely the aproaches of more styles. And as you know too, jazz is a style with much more improvisation. Still, I don't prefer him to Wakeman. Wakeman is one of my favourite keyboardists, He is in my top 3 with Tony Banks and Keith Emerson.

About Wakeman have played Moraz's tracks, I think he never do that in Yes. I think Wakeman always refused to play on live tracks composed by other keyboardists in Yes.

I have to thank you e21. After I read your review, I was trying to remember if I had ever seen Yes with Patrick Moraz. I was doing a Google search about it when I found a sound recording of the first Yes concert I ever saw in 1976 on YouTube. Sure enough, Patrik Moraz was in the band. I'm glad to know I saw him play with Yes, but I'm more excited to have a recording of the very first time I went to see Yes. The actual show where I am sitting in the audiance. That's me clapping, lol. That is priceless. If you have any interest in hearing what Patrik Moraz sounded like with Yes on the Relayer tour, here is the location of the recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1BIigFazB4 . I can't tell you how much this means to me. Thanks my friend!

Moraz is better than Wakeman, agreed! Less overwhelmingly present but more nuanced, varied and IMO tasteful...

But Bruford is soooo much better than Alan White in my opinion that change of personnel has a bigger impact on the band, and clearly not to the better.

@ Twig

You're always welcome my friend. I'm really very glad that my review have awakened in you such nice feelings. It happens also with me, sometimes, when I remember some live shows I saw in the good old days of my youth, of some other great bands. Somehow, those moments represent some of the best feelins lived by us in our lives. Anyway, I think you're a very lucky person. I never had the opportunity of see Yes alive in a real live show. Of course I saw them in several live venues, since I own a couple of live DVD's of them. And I know they were a great live band. And I think you can confirm that. And a live show with Patrick Moraz, is even better, because it's a very rare thing. You know, I'm a great fan of him. Still, we can discuss that when I publish some live stuff of Yes, that it will be very soon.

@ Motoko

"Gates Of Delirium" is really an amazing track, one of the best tracks ever made in rock, in any genres.

@ Don

"Moraz is better than Wakeman"

I'm not sure about that. Both are very different in style. Wakeman is more classic and Moraz is more jazzier. Still, "Gates Of Delirium" and "Relayer", in general are something of out of this world. But, it happens the same with "Close To The Edge", track and "Close To The Edge" album. It's also something out of this world.

About Bruford and White, you're absolutelly right. Despite I love White, Bruford is much better and much more prolific than White. Bruford is a complete drummer with a unique style, one of the best ever.

Besides the Moraz/Relayer tracks, there is an interesting acoustic version of Long Distance Run Around that I've not heard anywhere else. Enjoy!
