Great review, had me intrigued so I checked out the two very different tracks on Bandcamp. Really enjoyed "My Friend the Forest". What an excellent song and recording! I've never felt so "in the room" as that. But then I heard "All Melody" and was a little thrown off.. not a bad track, but didn't have the same intimacy as My Friend the Forest. How does the whole album compare to these tracks?

well, All Melody is actually the worst example of a track from this album. it's not the 'worst track' per se, but it does present a slightly different aesthetic than the rest of it. there is about one or two other such cuts, but they are far from prevalent. My Friend the Forest is pretty much how it goes.

"My Friend in the Forest" is so touching.

The vocal tracks on this thing are so good.

"My Friend in the Forest", "Fundamental Values" and the vocal tracks are great. "Values" and "Kaleidoscope" remind me of Deaf Center.

The rest really doesn't do anything for me.
