More good tracks than bad tracks on several listens. Still can't get past the lack of hooks she use to have on her first 4 albums. "Losss" reminds me a bit of "5 years", with that distorted background. "Blissing Me" has a nice Vespertine vibe, and the opener is godly.
Idk, might be a grower, gotta give her that.

It serves as a nice reprieve from indulging in good old-fashioned country designed for backwater hicks and overly sophisticated prep school kiddies such as yourself :^)

Album cover gives a whole new meaning to the term "giving head"

“Arisen My Senses was a good opener tbh“
Awesome song. It led me to believe that this would be a great album along with Blissing Me, but after that it fell apart.
I don’t get the fascination with “Body Memory”. The little rawrs ruin it.
I feel like Bjork said hey let’s do my music with me rolling in nature and it looked better on paper.

Idk. Fripper, you and I score a lot of albums the same, but we gotta disagree on this one lol. Arca’s self titled turned out way better. I guess it’s like adding your acids or bases. You can add Bjork to Arca, but don’t add Arca to Bjork.

Arca’s self titled turned out way better. [2]
Vocals weren't as smothering - weird given that Bjork was the one pushing Arca for vocals, but then ended up doing a better job than her

This album is all about the journey, not the destination. It has that cold, sensual feel of Vespertine mixed with the grandiosity and moving strings of Vulnicura, without ever seeming as insufferably cheesy. Deft use of negative space too, like Biophilia. My only gripes are it seems a little too uniform at times and is way too long. That same uniformity is kind of what makes it sound so good tho. Contradictions, man
