I mean, I'd imagine if you're fine with Shaking the Habitual, which is pretty vocal heavy (and has its fair share of instrumentals as well), Plunge's abundance of vocals shouldn't be a problem.

literally every one of the last 4 songs is instantly comparable to the songs before t/t

"IDK About You" is my favorite, so I don't know what people are talking about when it comes to the first half being forgettable.

"Falling" and the t/t are the only ones I find weak, and even then, they're not bad per se, just like meh

I find the last 4 tracks being more melodic while the first 4 are more frantic, idk, just my impression

Oh Potsy

Even you stated this album is like a tour of all the styles she’s dabbled in before, so to then say someone can’t then prefer a particular one (or combination of) these ‘styles’ over the others seems odd :/

Then you say I like the instrumental most when I’ve clearly said I prefer at least two other tracks to it (for the record I prefer three songs to it). It’s more it just serves as a strange marker on the album and (for me) divides the release into ‘better’ and ‘worse’ sections. It’s certainly not the worst moment on the album imo, but if you read what I said I actually said I wanted more songs of the quality of the last four...the instrumental isn’t in the last four songs...

Also, it’s not the amount of vocals but the approach of the vocals being the source of 90% of a song’s inherent interest, the fact they drive nearly all of a song’s appeal, that I personally find less interesting. It’s probably why this sits on a plummeting 3.7 average or whatever it’s at.

Other than that your reading is coming on no end ;D

Dewi - your analysis is spot on, the last songs are more melodic, and I’ve now heard a lot of people say they prefer that stretch.

Doofus - reasonable response explaining why he hasn’t lavished unwavering praise upon this album

Pots - childish insult

Hmm...

Hamid - a 3.5 is only just under the average - in my AOTY list waiting on RYM I have this at a 3.6 if that’s any better?
