Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and facts have nothing to do with it. You may find a riff with THIS number of notes of THESE values including THESE tones in THAT order combined with THIS vocal performance and THAT kind of drumming awesome, but I might find it totally unapealling, or awful, for that matter :-*

Well I can't and don't want to change your opinion. I have to say that the "Which it really and truly is" part is entirely subjective though.

it doesn't bother me simply because I like the results. Of course the band members probably are money hungry bastards who doesn't even want to spend time on getting own ideas, but heck I like Right Side of the Bed and hate the vocalist in In Flames, so not really a big loss there for me

The difference between me and most of the others on sputnik is that I think most of the tracks Atreyu have done are "pretty cool". With some insanely terrible exceptions of course.
