When The Body Breaks is gorgeous (:

And yes try Chasing After Shadows. It's a lot more post rock driven and has some of their best songs. The production is fucking stunning on that one too, especially on songs like Breathturn, Andalusia and Dust Is The Devil's Snow.

Raise Your Voice and Departure Songs are probably my favs. Everything and Nothing and Kenotic are excellent too. I can't remember much about the others, but they're solid. I remember Chasing after Shadows having some really great songs, like Mongi mentioned.

You gotta try Shadows again man. Ugh it's incredibly powerful and one of their largest in scope.

Trying this again... There's a bit more to it than I gave credit for, but still not much.

I registered to sputnik just to give this comment.

Deeply moved by the album.

But Dean Morgan, what a review! I listened to the music first, then read this review and listened to it again. The second time, it blew me away.

Following Hammock, Sputnik, and emphatically, following Dean Morgan now.

Lot of quality writers on this site. I like the record but it doesn't hit me like Hammock's previous work or like Eluvium's record last year, which I found to be somewhat similar in its choral ambient focus.

Yeah this has its moments, but Everything & Nothing and Oblivion Hymns still speak to me much more powerfully

Anyone who likes this (or wishes it was better) should definitely check the new Bibio record. Stunning ambient with a similar delicate/mournful vibe.

nope, I'm usually not into listening to soundtracks if I haven't seen the movie but I'll give Hammock the benefit of the doubt

I mean it's Hammock so you don't need to know the film to enjoy the ambient chillax tracks. I listened to a little bit of it and it sounded like more solid Hammock.
