Already got Blue Isla and the two latest Dream on Dreamer albums... this vocalist kills.

He's grown to be my favorite clean vocalist, absolutely love his voice and the way he just soars through the music

Why the hell are these guys so popular? They sound like every other metalcore band since 2005. Stitch is a banger tho

really like the outro to witness for some reason, wish there were more slow, moodier bits with lower pitched singing like that, his high pitched chorus stuff is so garbage

I didn't read the review cause I can't be bothered to care about these guys, BUT...
I really hope all the negs are because they genuinely thought the review was written poorly, and not because they disagreed. Negative reviews are an essential part of this site, and any critical site for that matter.

I can guarantee you that the negs are from people that disagree with the rating

ye this band just appeals to the lowest common denominator of metalcore fans that cry when people don't like their dumb chugga chugga blegh bands. not their fault, i assume they're nice enough guys

Or I just want some meaty breakdowns man, this shit is addicting. Nothing clicks with me quite like these guys do.
Also most of the negs are probably cause the review reads more like a 1.5 or lower, especially that brutal first paragraph. But I still thought it was a good review.

nah, i wasn't ready to dip into the 1s. that's reserved for when shit's brutally bad. that's not really the case here, i just didn't enjoy any of it

Yeah I'm just saying you probably triggered a lot of people (or, at least 6) who liked this cause you were so brutally honest haha. Not that that's a bad thing of course.

They're called bitches.

I didn't neg your review but I do disagree with how you went about rating the album and maybe that's why some other people didn't like it. Your argument for your low rating is lack of originality and risk-taking, but that aside this is still more competent and professional than 80% of similar metalcore, therefore giving it a score below average is a bit contentious.

would much rather hear a band try something even mildly more original with shitty production than another album like this. there are hundreds of albums with this sound, no amount of "professionalism" makes these songs not boring

This band just makes me want to listen to I The Breather, because their breakdowns are more fun, plus there's usually guitar leads over the chugga chugga

For every 'average' metalcore band like Wage War, there's two dozen that are worse in every department. I know this because I sift through them on a daily basis in my perpetual quest to find the hidden gems.
I The Breather is a guilty pleasure of mine. These Are My Junz is a quality album.

Quality comments section, thanks Tresm87.
Kind of dislike the tone of the review, reads like you have an axe to grind (possibly why it might irritate fans of the album, idk). Could just be that I'm more prone to artiswar's line of thinking. But yeah sometimes when you really dislike something to the point of frustration then this is the only tone you can really take, so I get it. Solid rev and well deserved feature

I wish they used the Seinfeld bassline instead

I honestly keep it at 3.5 because it is your better than average metalcore, but not by an astounding amount. Jammable but nothing insane
