what have you heard from them, Con? I was kinda indifferent to most of their previous stuff but the new album grabbed me a ton

CWS and Menzos are touring together which is perfect. Nice to see the Barnett bros dropping great albums consistently (although Bobby/CWS less so since they only have 3 records)

Con give OTIP or ATP another shot. I dont think you can go wrong with any of the albums from CW to ATP but OTIP and ATP are probably the easiest to get into

man album shouldve just started at Don't Show Bill...those first two songs are really bland and just not good. really set up the album poorly

I dislike don't show bill the most, but yes trying year is also poor.

Don't Show Bill is the first song to really kick the album in tho plus it's p short.

Smash 2 is still killer that's good. but yeah production is p muddy...had to play around with the EQ settings on spotify

Trying Year has grown on me a bunch and Books was one of my faves since first-listen, I dunno

frankly I think Don't Show Bill should've come as a change-up later on in the album. Feels kinda out-of-place between Books and Cannonless

TFIC pt II is low-key one of the best here, surprised I haven't seen more people talk about it

Sure it's kind of a step down from TFIC at the moment, but was anybody expecting it to be nearly as good? TFIC is legit perfection, so comparing it is unproductive at best.

For as awesome as TFIC was, I'm glad they didn't just put out more of the same, and are at least trending towards something different, trying something new.

But I agree, production and sound mix sucks balls.

I keep trying to think of how badly I hated Brand New's "Daisy" when it first came out, and how much I love it now. I'm sure this'll grow on me. But it's not by any means awful.

i mean, TFIC is by the same band and was their album before this so it's very fair to compare this to that album...if anything it's the most important album to compare this to

but yeah production sucks but Smash 2 to the end is amazing...makes up for the offensively bad songs before it

i think Bobby's re-used songs are the worst on here. i like his solo album but the vocal melodies come off as really bland and forgettable on here.
