I don't know. This is just so beautiful. 3WW, House of the Rising Sun, Adeline, Last Year, and Pleader all make me want to 5 this. But the other 3 songs are varying degrees of mediocre and wtf. If they grow on me this could be my first 5 of the year. If not, it's really no better than a 4.
Oh, and Pleader was sent down from the heavens [2]. Beyond a shadow of a doubt my SOTY.

All this hate for In Cold Blood? I think it's second to Adeline

In Cold Blood isn't bad, I just don't think it jives with the rest of the album all that well. Tbh the whole thing is kind of a mish mash, but an amazing one at that.

Yeah the mishmash thing doesn't really rub well with me - most tracks are brilliant but because they're so diverse and the album's so concise it makes it feel too disjointed

A song that has been covered a billion times and they decide to put it on an album...
Edit: I haven't listened, it's just the first thing that popped out at me

Immediately better than the second album, which I really disliked. How it compares to the debut, let's see.
Happy to hear them go a bit harder on 'Deadcrush', but I hate the trebly production on 'Hit Me Like a Snare'
The "one one one" repetition in the 'In Cold Blood' lyrics remind me of that Hot Chip song, 'Ready for the Floor'
"Number number number number number one; One one one one guy"
