The first two songs weren't that bad, but then it tanked hard. The third song was completely unbearable, and after that it was just the same shit with different lyrics. The harmonized "oo"s or two words and the deep "do do do do"s were in almost every song without fail, and the ones that didn't have those had almost every single 80s pop/rock cliche you can name.

I'm sorry, I'm forced to up my rating by a .5 due to the comedic value on display. It entertains me immensely reading in the credits that, while Brian has no involvement whatsoever, VAN DYKE PARKS plays the accordion on this album. Knowing all I do about how much Mike hated Van Dyke Parks, Mike is clearly just trolling at this point. A+ trolling because I am laughing and crying at the same time.
