I was thinking about that Tosh joke about retarded people being stronger than the rest of us and after reading about chimps and motor control started wondering if there's actually something to that... do retarded people have the same fine motor skills, e.g. threading a needle? I'm saying the reason chimps are stronger than humans is lack of differentiation in muscle choice, and hypothesizing that perhaps retarded humans have a similar mechanism that sacrifices some fine motor ability for increased strength.

aight so far as i know chimps muscles/ligaments are actually connected to their bones differently/vastly different levels of innervation to humans so retarded people being stronger would just be coz they're completely uninhibited (fight or flight strength) plus a lot of downies are stocky builds altho i'm pretty confident i'd whoop one ass if it came to blows
