I don't like how it goes from a very ethereal (good) atmosphere to much quieter hyper treble guitaring section tho. I think if you went Darkspace for the bm section it would've sounded more natural with the synths and stuff. @5:40 tho when the twinkly keys come in it does sound really Paysage'y which was nice.

By "Darkspace" you mean a little meatier with the guitar, as opposed to the Das Tor sound?

yea. Obviously you're not Wintherr so it doesn't sound as great as Das Tor, but I think it's a pretty good imitation--it just doesn't mesh with the cleaner rest of the song (and I really hate it when bm bands do that). I think either it woulda fit better with a meatier guitar sound, or maybe fix the trebly sound (make it louder? or a bit meatier but not a whole lot), or make the atmospheric stuff more lo-fi so the transition between ambient and metal isn't so jarring.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind. It's intentionally a little lighter -- more Earth and Pillars -- than Paysage to let the keys carry it, but I can play with the guitar mix for the physical release.
