I need more droney ambient stuff like this in my life. Working on my Selected Radiohead Works projects and a 4 hour edit I pulled together of Flaming Lips' 7 Skies H3 has made me appreciate this kind of music much more

Things are good thanks man, been quite busy but I'm trying to get back into writing. Glad things are going well on your end.

First listen, and this sounds great to me. I'm enjoying it more than his other recent releases.

as quoted by a user in the soundoffs : "the ending made me tingle"

So this album is a little bit like Transverse Temporal Gyrus? It is preferably listened to using a certain software, and it's meant to sound a bit different each time.

his Harold Budd colabs are ++++ but they're not droney at all.

ha ha, I don't know about those "tingles" at the end because I haven't made it to the end yet, but I've played it a couple of times and I'm enjoying it. I guess it's not important to make it to the end of an album that was made to be never ending?

dunno, this is sort of striking me as... adequately musical

a bunch of hanging notes played with a gentle, slightly resonant instrument is never gonna be offensive listening but this app ain't exactly creating masterpieces either.

then again there's something to be said for these calm suspended sort of moments since they will never again appear in real pop music

it's not a million miles away from me just standing at a pair of keyboards and holding down white notes at its core but the way the app rotates its instrumentation subtly is good technology

can't really say you'd achieve something like, or ambient in general, by just holding down notes buuuut there's a lot of subtleties to it that defines what makes a good ambient track
