^Hahaha. I disagree with both of them, but that's besides the point.

Surprisingly this wasn't the worst album of the year, I kinda liked some of the production but this sure ain't above a 2.5

Has anyone in here posted this one "J. Cole means girls are getting smart again" picture already? I don't really want to check every single link in this thread.

Other than that, I mean, I kinda liked Cole before, Friday Night Lights and 2014FHD were very decent albums, but man, I'm bored to tears with this one. Easily his worst since his debut album, probably worse than that. Even he sounds bored most of the time and the lyricism is

SO. INCREDIBLY. FORCED. ARGH.

If I have to hear Deja Vu one more time in my entire life I'm going to punch a wall or something. Never thought I would say this, but, yeah, Bryson Tiller did it better. And I DESPISE Bryson.

Bin it~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you think this is his best project you're nuts, while he's matured lyrically, he's vague on certain topics he touches. The songs themselves are lazily structured, sonically it's too one dimensional. The albums production lacks diversity it's his worst yet.

simply put, contrary to what his fans believe, j. cole has yet to drop a good album. he's still nothing more than an average rapper with big ambitions. good review, tho.

had to drive 50 minutes to the mall with a few friends yesterday. They all agreed to play this in the car. Very long 50 minute ride.

See, I believe that this album was supposed to have a certain vibe. I think that's the biggest reason False Prophets and Everybody Dies weren't on the album. There might have been a certain sound he was going for in the whole album.

the highlights are too good for me to justify giving this anything lower than a 3

quality on this more or less matches 2014FHD but I find this to be more consistent

i.e. no annoying 14 minute closing track
